Winston Churchill once said, ‘There is nothing like Oratory, It is a skill that can turn a commoner into a king !’. We at The Orators Guild truly, firmly and vehemently believe in it. Conceptualized in a local coffee shop by two lawyer sisters, The Orators Guild is an endeavor to create a platform where like-minded people can come together and have meaningful dialogues. We understand that knowledge alone is not that meaningful and valuable until and unless you are able to correctly express our ideas, transmit confidence and persuade and influence the world around you.
It’s a well known fact that practicing in a fun, low pressure environment is a great way to help one overcome the initial hurdles on the road to Public Speaking and that is exactly what we aim to provide. Promoting our members’ creative thinking and instilling in them the confidence to think out of the box and freely expressing themselves has always been our motto. In addition to Public Speaking, our activities cover all aspects like developing the creativity of members, fine tuning the verbal and non-verbal skills, creating awareness, fostering their writing abilities, ingraining reading habits and also inculcating the most important skills that is active listening.
It is our firm conviction that the best gift we can give to the society is to enable its youth to express themselves freely and thereby giving them the chance to ‘have their voices heard’ and the power of ‘not to be ignored’. And that is what The Orators Guild truly stands for.
